Linocut Workshop: Peranakan Tiles
PERANAKAN TILES IN LINOCUT
If you love Peranakan design - this workshop is for you! Create a beautiful set of linocut prints to frame or give to friends as a memory of Singapore.
Linoleum is easy to carve and produces fantastic results! Learn the basics of linocut printing and make an edition of prints in this 2.5-hour workshop. All materials are provided and no experience is necessary.
Included in the class are linoleum blocks, lino cutters, brayers, water-based inks, transfer paper and acid-free papers. Linocut printing packs will also be available for you to print at home. Art frames can also be purchased and I can help frame your work.
We like to keep it cosy - so only four persons per class. Refreshments are provided and some Peranakan kueh sweets may tempt you!
Jennifer Lim is a printmaker trained in Australia and Japan, and loves to share printmaking techniques and her Peranakan heritage.
